First things first–Double Cleansing:
Step 1 - Cleansing Oil
Don’t skip cleansing oil just because you have oily skin. A good cleansing oil can work wonders even in skincare for oily skin.
Step 2 - Facewash
Not cleansing your face well can easily be tagged as one of the major causes of pimples on the face, especially in humid seasons. You just need to choose a facewash that’s cleansing but not harsh on your skin.
Step 3: Toning
Toners that suit your skin type will greatly help even out your skin tone—as the name suggests—and reduce dark spots. Toning can prove to be quite an effective way for dark spots on face treatment at home.
Step 4: Exfoliation
Exfoliation is the key to cleansed pores. It promotes resurfacing your skin naturally by removing dirt and dead skin, and unclogging the pores, thereby naturally helping in the resurfacing process. So make it CTEM, not just CTM! Just be gentle with your skin, you don't want to damage the barrier.
Step 5: Moisturization
Moisturizers & serums help quite effectively in keeping your skin hydrated and healthy. All you need to ensure is that you’re using serums that suit your skin. For instance, a hyaluronic acid serum will most likely suit most skin types unless they are allergic or overly sensitive. And it has great hydrating properties, which makes both skincare for dry skin and oily skin easier.
Step 6: Sun Protection (Day Time)
NEVER, we repeat—never skip sunscreen during the daytime. It protects your skin not just from harmful UV rays and tanning, but also from aging in the long run. Use one that suits your skin type & tone and weather. Sometimes extreme sun or long exposure to sunlight can even cause pigmentation.
Or Actives (Night Time)
ALWAYS remember to use actives like Retinol, Salicylic acid, Niacinamide, etc., at night after cleansing. And if you’ve used actives the night before, sunscreen in the morning becomes even more important, so never skip an effective sunscreen as per your skin type.
